Hold on while I Materialize a refresh

Just a quick update to let everyone know I am working still on the app. The last time has been busy and most development has been quite behind the scenes, as I am working on a small visual refresh of the app. Well small… it is getting a Material design look to match the Android Lollipop visuals and some parts needed a bit of tweaking to get right with those new and changed idioms.

A beta version should be available fairly soon, within a week or two. After that I will focus more on bugfixes again to update support for some clients (rTorrent, qBittorrent, tTorrent) and long standing annoyances. Hold on just a bit more!

  1. I thought the UI was already well done, and close-enough to the Android style guidelines. But very happy that you’re still working on it, and keeping it up with the Material look and feel!

  2. I find a way to setup rtorrent support that is a little easier than the guide you have. I couldn’t find a way to email this to you and apparently the support forum is closed. I do not take credit for this and will link the appropriate page where I found it. Basically all I did was add this line into the SCGI mount point under advanced settings.

    1. Christopher,

What line did you add? I have a dedi seedbox and when I set the rtorrent up with transdroid, the app crashes and wont open. Any pointers as to why?

  4. Hey ! this is great news ! I already love the transdroid UI, but I wouldn’t hate on a material design 😉 any ETA ? Thanks

  5. Can you please do a quick update to support the latest qbittorrent? I read that someone did a pull request to make the necessary change already, you’ll just need to approve it and build it. Thanks

  6. Hi there!
Please make search engines customizable, so that people in countries where the websites are often brought down and re-proxied elsewhere can change the search engines quickly when that happens!
Eg: kat is unavailable in uk, many proxies have recently been obscured, and kat.cr is currently working, but may not work next month or week.

    Thank you!!!

  7. I recently moved over from uTorrent to qBittorrent 3.2. I downloaded Transdroid 2.5.0beta2 and noticed that the I can no longer set a label for my downloads. That really breaks functionality for my setup. Will that be fixed in a future release? Perhaps I’m missing something? Thank you for a great app!
